Back in the early 80’s an elite group of video game rock stars under the name The Trueplayerz were on the lookout for the high rolling arcade players from amongst Hollywood ‘s elite. Starting life as a secretive gambling club who met at rock stars home in LA the group soon began to filter in to the new electronic games (pinball then arcade games) dominating the scene. Before long rock star pads were hosting late play parties with the very best competing for ultra high scores to win the million dollar prize pool. A hip young Hollywood actor won the 1982 prize – some $1 million put up by the numerous players and immediately gave it all away to charity!
