Opens a bottle in less than 3 seconds and works with man-made corks (we've tested!). To open a bottle just place the corkscrew over a bottle with the lever up grip the corkscrew around neck of the bottle by squeezing the two arms together with one hand using the other hand push the lever down to drive the coil into the cork then lift the lever back up to remove the cork from the bottle release the two arms and remove the corkscrew from the bottle corks are easily removed from the coil by closing then opening the corkscrew again.
