The radio features manual tuning and volume control wheels and earphones. The solar battery has a variable recharging time depending on the weather and light conditions. In sunny weather conditions the battery charges in 2-3 hours hazy 3-4 and cloudy 6-8 hours. The rechargeable battery lasts for up to 4-5 hours if used on the normal volume setting. There is also a backup AAA battery included which has a 24-25 hour battery life.
